KCET 2023 Exam Details
KCET stands for Karnataka Common Entrance Test, and it is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The exam is held annually and is conducted for admission to various undergraduate courses in engineering, agriculture, and pharmacy offered by colleges in the state of Karnataka.
Eligibilty Criteria
The eligibility criteria for appearing in the KCET 2023 exam are as follows:
- The candidate should be a citizen of India.
- The candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the year of admission.
- The candidate should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects.
- The candidate should have obtained a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates) in the qualifying examination.
The selection of candidates for admission to various courses is based on the KCET scores and the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination. Candidates who qualify for the exam are called for counseling and seat allocation.
